I have come to accept that my blogging has completely fallen off of my priority list.  It's not that I don't want to share my life happenings with you.  My relationship with L is going fantastically (is that a word!?) but I don't want to throw our relationship all over the internet -- it's too important to me.

BUT, I still want to share my adventures, quotes, and random stories with you, so I have started a tumblr site instead.

Update

In a voicemail from one of my best girlies, I was reminded today that I have been absolutely slacking with this blog.  A lot has been going on since I last blogged... and all good things :)

First and foremost, L and I are still dating.  I love spending time with him and am constantly being taken aback by his sweet and genuine comments, guestures, and what a great person he is.  I feel very lucky to have met him and am excited about where our relationship will go.  While at a drive in movie last week snuggled up in sweatshirts and blankets, L asked me to be his girlfriend.  And I couldn't be happier.

Also, I started my new job at my same company last week.  I'm only a week and a half in but I already know that it was the right move for me.  Not only did a extreme weight get lifted off of my shoulders on the last day of my previous position, I am excited about the career change and the opportunity to learn a new side of retail.  I miss my team, but I know that we will stay in touch and a couple of them have already reached out to me for career advice, brainstorming, or just to say hi.  I have been welcomed with open arms by my new team and I'm enjoying getting to know them.

Fall is arriving in Minnesota... The leaves are begining to change, the air is getting more crisp, and sweaters, hoodies, and boots are making a come back. 

Bad decision

Taking some time off from yoga may sound like a great idea

....after all it's summer..... who wants to sweat when it's hot out...... how can someone possibly squeeze a vinaysa session in between all of the fantastic activities that June - August brings.

Wrong.  False.  Not a good idea.

Yesterday I finally went back to my yoga mat after a 3 month hiatus.  Let me tell you... taking time off was a stupid decision.  It was one of those things where I got out of my routine and was always going to go back "next week". 

Well I took the plunge yesterady and am glad I did.  It felt amazing to get back to it, and I was shocked at how some poses are now extremely difficult while others came right back to me.

Trying to get back on track, I went again tonight.  Probably an epic mistake.  My everything hurts.  And I mean everything... shoulders, ankles, hamstrings, neck, feet, back, side "abs", etc.  You name it... it's sore. 

I need to let my body recover, but I'm back at it in a couple of days.  And if you ever hear anyone talk about taking a "break", please advise against it :)

Best.Date.Ever.

I can honestly say that Friday night was the best date I have ever been on.

L and I had plans to hang out but nothing really figured out.  He kept telling me that we had to do something special to celbrate my promotion.  I was throwing out different ideas (restaurants, baseball game, mini golf) and mentioned that Coldplay was going to be in town.  And he took it from there.

By noon on Friday he had found seats, bought them, and we were set to go.  I tried to pay for my half, but he'd have no part. 

He picked me up and we went to St. Paul for drinks beforehand.  It was gorgeous outside and we were able to snag a table on one of the patio restaurants/bars.  Once we got to the concert, I realized what fantastic seats he had gotten us.  We were straight across from the runway part of the stage and 13 rows up from the floor.  Amazing.

The show was fantastic - I've been to many concerts but this was by far the best.  Between the lights, music, cannons shooting confetti randomly all over the arena and the company, it was pretty tough to beat. 

Afterwards we went to a neighboring bar to hang out for the traffic to die down and talked for 2 hours straight.  I had an amazing time and have never had someone do something so nice for me.

Thankful and hopeful

I'm in a good place... I'm elated that I've officially been promoted to a new position at Company T and I start in a few weeks.  My new position will challenge me in a whole new way and will offer me travel and other experiences that will help me grow individually and in my career.  I've been working towards this move for the last nine months and I can't wait to get started.  I feel very blessed for the opportunity and proud of myself for getting to this point

I'm also coming up on date #3 with L.  I haven't been on a 3rd date in 2 1/2 years and I've had a lot of fun with L thus far.  He has a great sense of humor, is very thoughtful, and can handle my sarcasm. We have a lot in common and I'm looking forward to continuing to get to know him.

I have great family, great friends, and tons of things to be thankful for.  It's times like now I'm reminded of how God rewards us and follows through on His promises after rough times.  Here's to many good days ahead....

I got a feeling

Interviews are over and I have a really good feeling that they went really well :)  I got a few hints from my boss on Friday that I should start getting ready to make the transition with final word coming early this week.  I can't wait for this new opportunity. 

I also finally went out with a guy (L) that I've been talking to for a while on Tuesday of last week.  Our date was great, and then last night he joined some friends and I out at a sports bar and bonfire for a few hours.  So far so good....
